My loyal family!

I have 3A security guards!!!

In Malaysia, Chinese has this thing about 4. As 4 in Chinese is 四, while 死 which has the same pronunciation means death. So my friends, do not be shocked when you enter to a high rise building in Malaysia that does not have a 4th floor. It is not missing, but renamed to 3A. I am not a superstitious guy, I put it for your entertainment hahaha.

Back to the main point, I have a "security system" which consist of 4 different roles. These 4 roles are super essential to safeguard my house. You all must be wondering what it could be. Well, here it is:

The Alarm:

This is Santa, my first dog! She is a Miniature Schnauzer. She was a surprise for me when I was 14. I brought my cell phone to school illegally one day. I received a text from my mom asking me whether I can spot anything in her car. I could not as it was a bit too far. When I reached the car, SURPRISED!!! This small little puppy was there. AWWWW XD That is how I got her. I name her Santa because she has a mustache just like him :P

This is her when Thor decides to visit our area. She is afraid of loud sounds. So yeah, in a multiracial country, new years for different races is not a thing for her. FIREWORKS everywhere. Fortunately, she is pretty popular among the dogs community because her ear is huge. Like an receiver.

She is the alarm because she will not stop barking when she is excited. Till this day, one of us come back from work/school will be barked at. I guess she is too happy to see us.

The Bouncer:

This is Beckham. He is a veteran dog we adopted. He is a Labrador Retriever. His owner died and the wife could not take care of him properly. So we did the honors. He is a huge dog. While mommy walked him, everyone would stop and stare. Waa huge doggy. Thing about him is he likes children alot!!! And with that size, when he walks up to a kid, the kid cries. I would not blame the kid, I will explain later.

He is the bouncer because all bouncer do is just stand at the door and you will be afraid. He will stare at you with that eyes, even popeye cried.

Look into his eyes. Him and his toy, that is a medium sized Kong Toy!

The Killer:

This is Bobby! Another one of our adopted ones. He is a mixed breed, mongrel. He has a very depressing story. He was given to a neighbour when he was still a puppy. Then, when he started to grow, the family did a horrible thing. Threw him away!!! That moment I wonder, people adopt dogs just for their cuteness? People do know it is a commitment right? I hope they do. Continuing, while he was looking for food near a restaurant, he was hit by a car. Someone saved him and he was operated by the doctors or vets. Then we fostered him till he gets a new home. We got too attached and yeah he is a beloved family member now.

He is the silent type. When a stranger comes into the house, he will be ready. Ready for what you may ask. Well that is up for your imagination. You are safe if you can outrun him limping though. Keyword :IF!!!

My Personal Bodyguard:

This is Minnie, an Australian Silky Terrier. She is a feisty one. She takes ownership to things she like. And when that happens, ooohhhh you cannot get near that item anymore. In this case look at the remote, no more TV for us I guess. She will growl at you when your filthy hands gets near. She likes to sleep around me. When my hand accidentally go near her, she will ATTACK!!! She will not bite but just the gesture a lot scares the soul out of you.

Oh and nowadays she is partnered up with Bobby to instantly rush out and bark and strangers walking past our front gate. Even though she is small, she is not afraid to take you on.

She now sleeps with me on my bed, nobody even my mom can enter the room without her knowing:P

Memories:

Had loads of memories with them. They are loyal. Nothing I could ever do to be as loyal as them. Here are some pictures of my alarm systems:

The two big ones going at each other :P Playing around like kids.

Minnie was chasing me up the stairs.

Santa and Minnie playing "Fetch"

Last but not least Beach Day for all of us!!!

My mom and Santa!

Beckham is already in the water while Santa is scared :P

What is he chasing after?!?!?!?!

Worst ever accident in my life!

I broke my arm!

Last friday, which is the 18th of March 2016, I broke my arm. I have never in my life got into such an horrifying accident. To be exact, I broke the ulna which is one of the forearm bone located at your pinky.

Well a lot of you may ask, HOW?! It was an accident. Definitely not a road accident, more of a sports injury. A force that was far to great was applied to my bone, and PAK there it goes..... I would write you a description of how it happened but I could not. The only memory I have of it is when I know I am in a wrong position. Two words was displayed in my head. "Oh Shit!" Then when I was literally expecting pain, nope there was none. Was kinda surprising for me because there is only numbness.

I was then admitted to Sunway Medical Center. Longest journey to the hospital because I could not handle any sudden movement. Funny thing is Malaysia's road are famous for potholes. :P And humps IRREGULAR HUMPS. Picked up with a wheelchair right in front of the gate of SunMed. Then taking some of my details, and to the Emergency Room. It was all very quick.

Trying to remain as calm as possible. Oh yeah I could not bend my arm. So i left it hanging, I could not even rest it on my thigh. Oh well, why must I have long hands. I was comfortable with walking, so the medical officer accompanied me to the xray room to have a picture. They cannot conclude about my situation, it can be a dislocation or a fracture.

Closer view of it!

It was the hardest thing in the Xray room. The officer wanted me to move my hand to take a clear picture of what happened. I cannot!!! IT HURTS. Yeah it was a very troublesome thing to do but i endured the pain and got through with it. The officer came back to me saying it is a fracture. To my understanding, fracture is like a small crack on the bone. I was relieved by a bit. Then he showed me the Xray, I shouted!!! IT IS BROKEN!

My poor Ulna :(

My parents talked to the specialists. Guess what! Operating in 6 hours time. I was admitted on Friday night around 1130pm. Specialist said that operation will be at 730am tomorrow. OMG! That is too damn fast. HAHAHA i guess in this case fast is better. Sad thing is throughout the night I have to sleep with caution as my bone is just dangling there.

I am super thankful to Johan Wong who came and accompanied me till 430am. I appreciate it a lot.

Operation!!!

Eunice arrived right in time before they pushed me into the operation theater. Just by seeing her, everything will be fine, I know!

Aerial View.

And a side one for your entertainment hehe :P

6 screws and a metal plate to join the bone back together. I stayed the day for observations. The whole Saturday was gone. After a few hours, comes the best thing at that moment.

Me and my lunch!!! I didn't eat for more than 10 hours. Best food ever at that point of time even though it is just hospital food. After that a lot of my friends came and visited me, thank you!!! You took a little time off your busy schedule for me and I appreciate it a lot.

Eunice stayed by my side through the whole thing. Pity her :( Must be exhausting. Thank you dear.

I was discharged on Sunday around noon. Glad it was done so quick. And this is my first private hospital experience. Never been into one before. Always been to government ones. Such a big difference. Oh well, last but not least a happy me.

Nothing and no one can stop me from smiling. Be happy always!

Stay Healthy and Take care!

This is how I dropped 18 kilos!

Tips on my Weight Loss!

I was worried due to the hypertension that the doctor said I have. I was a bit depressed as well because all these while I have been exercising and I thought I would be healthy enough. Then this kind of thing happened. Sighhhh

I started off by doing research on how to lose weight. Some internet searched here and there. Some advise from friends. I remembered 1 friend of mine named Jaszril advised me to go for jogging with a sweater on so I would burn off fats and lose some extra water in my body. Yes, Jaszril I remembered till today. Not only that, I also watched a tv programme, "Biggest Loser".

That programme inspired me a lot on how to cut off my weight in various areas. Fat people in that show lose a lot of KGs just to stay in the game. I was thinking if they can, why cant I. I then started setting myself a schedule to run everyday.

For this who missed out, here is the link of me at my fat moments : http://jerrylimdy.blogspot.my/2016/03/weight-loss-journey.html?m=1

Most important thing:

Diet. It does not mean to starve yourself. Eat healthy and regular. For me, I ate lesser rice and any form of carbohydrate. Key word: LESSER. Google for food which can burn more calories than it provides. I cut a lot of sugar intake. And practically my meal was halved in terms of portions wise.

Next: My Method

Exercising. You need have have higher output than input to have results. Make sure to exercise more than before. I gave myself a super extreme timetable. I will share with you guys but if you want to follow, do it with precautions. My body could handle the transition so it went well.

Every morning I ran about 6 km, then I will have my breakfast. It is quite refreshing to do so as well.
Then I will continue another 6 km at around 4pm. This makes 12 km a day. Luckily, things dont stop here. After the evening 6 km, I will change to my basketball attire and go out for a ball session. Till around 8. Lastly, I end the day with a small physical exercise. For example, push ups, sit ups, and those complicated ones which I do not know their names.

Do this everyday with discipline I can guarantee, you will get result. If you do not like basketball, switching up with another sport or jump straight in to physical activity will do.

Last: Influence

We get influenced easily. Peer pressure, parents or even from teacher. So get help when youre doing this. How did I get help? I participated in running events to make sure i complete the course. With the crowd running with you, you will feel more confident into doing it. It feels like a wave pushing you forward.

Here are a few running events I joined:

Nike Run 2012

Larian Kitar Semula with Le Familia

UTAR Trekathon

My first 21 km: PJ Half Marathon

Back when I was Ambassador of Ione2run.com

Then, there is me doing some physical exercise:

I also switched ball sessions to swimming as well.

And that's about it. Any questions you can, contact me! I will help you as much as I can.

Keep Fit!!! You can do it!!!

I flew over Cloud 9!!!

There are so much hype going on for me this week!!
There has been alot that I went through this week. I will cut it short and concentrate on the awesome part that gives me goosebumps. Well happy things we should share to all and spread to everyone. So here is mine:

1) Anime Weekend!
I have been watching anime since I was little. Back then was Pokemon, Digimon and Naruto. But it really was a challenge to me since back then to catch up on the series is difficult due to availability of VCDs.

I then continue my anime at 17 watching Naruto, Bleach ,One Piece and Fairytail. The Famous 4 japanese anime which is well known. What have got me so hyped is:

One Piece:
Luffy has been fighting Doflamingo for quite some time. And I didnt really the story ever since after timeskip and landed on mermaid island but still almost died to Capt Hordy. But, he proved me wrong with Gear 4th!!!

It was superb having himself a new gear to watch.......he had an upper hand moment but that just lasted for a while. Then, Doflamingo Awakened his devilfruit powers, Luffy was beaten bad.

This week, he returned and...........

King Kong Gun!!!

He KO-ed Doflamingo with one hit!!! Hahaha sounds abit like One Punch Man :P

Fairytail:
It has been a long while since Fairytail deviate from the actual storyline and talked about Mavis (The first guildmaster) Well I wouldnt say it is boring but it didnt entertain me and gave me any desire to look forward to next week. Until this happened!!!

Natsu Dragneel!!!

He came back so much stronger! He could melt the stadium for the Grand Magic Games just by his presence! Exerting abit of his magic melted clothing!!! Goosebumps much!!!

2) Standard Chartered Run Malaysia 2016
This is an international event where people from all over the world will travel to Malaysia to participate. And I do not understand why Running Events have been trending in Malaysia. A lot of events have been surged by participants. Therefore I am expecting a very good event this year.

I registered!

This will be my FIRST official 21km, the last one I completed was the PJ half marathon with a timing of 3 Hours and 3 Minutes. Unfortunately, I did not register for it! Hahaha yeah i took their finisher shirt. Shhhhh XD. So I am kind of scared as i am not an endurance athlete but more of a short distance burst type athlete. And 21km is very far. Hyped! But scared at the same time. I told myself:

Fear is only as deep as the mind allows.

3) Re-release of the classic AJ 11 "Space Jam"
Space Jam is one of my favorite cartoon. It is my favorite because it has my source of inspiration in it. Micheal Jordan! In collaboration with Bugs Bunny, they formed a dream alliance to defeat the "Monstars". Jordan Brand will be celebrating the 20th Anniversary of Space Jam with a re-release of the classic Air Jordan

11 that was originally debuted by Michael Jordan in the film back in 1996.

As a sneaker head, I have always got my attention on Jordans. Well I do own a few pairs, but I used them for my basketball activities. Never as sneakers for walking or going out. I would like this pair for myself but they are a bit too costly for me. Luckily they are launching this year end. Hope I could save up for one then.

4) Running Man
I started watching running man 2 years back! And they have been hilarious. One of my best source of laughter. My favorite part of the whole show is the Monday Couple. I am a big fan of this two. Song Ji Hyo and Kang Gary. Their little actions for each other will make your heart melt. Here lies some proofs:

Cute leh :P

They are the sweetest thing ever!!!

The latest episode gave them a chance to go out on a date. And with a bunch of activities they both planned for each other, they finally came to a venue arranged by the production crew. It is a Hospital. Why? To test whether they have feelings for each other!!! Go watch!

I am happy and smiling while I typed this!!!

Weight Loss Journey!

I was a FATTY!

I used to be very fat when i was 17. I weigh a total of 90 KGs. Well it is not that obvious when I am in my outfits, but i have big tummy and double chins. I really didnt mind it that much since my weight is not that obvious and I still look good (at least I think I do)

That was me when I was 17.

Me when i was 18 perhaps.

I was so round. Practically I look like a ball. Now that i have to download my picture from Facebook, I realise "Wow Jerry, youre Special HAHAHAHA!" Slight introduction, that is Wenyi. She is a wonderful friend who would sends me postcards from places that she travels to. HAHAHA does it look like ATTACK on TITAN?!

Why did I start to cut weight?

It all happened during my form 5 year. We all had our SPM which is important for our future. Then, it was the selection of the National Service. Those who are picked will be away for 3 months just to serve the country. By going to camps all over Malaysia. I was picked! :( I went home and told my mom! My mom was and is still not a fan of the whole programme because of accidents that happened. Plus I have ASTHMA. She didnt wanted me to go. And we went through a lot just to apply for that. I could not skip it as there was no reason to. Then it hit our mind that my ASTHMA could be an EXCUSE not to go. We went to Serdang Hospital to have the specialist look at me and possibly writing a letter to excuse my presence from the camp. Stupid me that I answer everything truthfully and the specialists finally concluded that my asthma is A OK to go for the camp. I was so down and hopeless then..............

But the doctor is still having a weird look......

He said I will not let you go to camp yet. I will defer you! Not because of asthma but hypertension. I was like Fxxk!!! I have hypertension?! The doctor told me not to worry as it can be inherited because my dad and grandpa also have it. Doctor said it could also be my weight that is causing this because according to the Body Mass Index I was overweight.

At that moment, I decided to myself I have to reduce my weight. And from then on, I reduced my weight.

Result!!!

Full body picture!!!

This is me when i finish all the programme i set for myself.I dropped my weight successfully to around 72 KGs in a month time. It was definitely satisfying as I stand on a weighing scale. And thanks to that I curbed my hypertension! And ladies you CAN, if you want to!
I will post my methods next so

 Stay Tune!

Introduction of ME!

Hi people from all over the galaxy,

My name is Jerry, I am 23 as of 2016, yeah growing old I know. I am still currently studying in UTAR, taking Bachelor of Economics (Hons) Global Economics. My campus is in Sungai Long and it aint much of a campus as it only has 2 tall buildings. The whole area had been commercialized to make profit from students.

Moving on, my hobby is to play basketball. i like playing it for fun and for competition. It makes me feel like I am getting out of this realistic life and concentrate on what i LOVE even if it is just for a moment. Well I am around 186cm give or take, people tend to say "ohhhh expected la, must be really good since youre so tall." . If you ever come and watch me play a university level game, you'll be shocked. I have been paired with a player from Sunway U who is 200cm tall. I look at him like how you guys look at me. It is HURTING my neck!!! Well what I am trying to say is there is always a person taller or better than you, strive to be a better person.

This was me with a Mohawk 4 years back!

Not only that, I love playing games. COMPUTER GAMES! My favorite 2 are Dota 2 and Counter Strike: Global Offense. Same thing as basketball, it give me this mode that Im in shutting everyone off except for those involve, and start analysing the situation. I like doing that. I am just average in these 2 games. Among my friends could be above average but globally just average cause i cant get the mechanics of the game well enough. But i do enjoys these games, I used to play till late night shouting to my teammates. Then PAKKKK!, 1 tight slap from my mom " No need sleep ah" HAHAHA then I will slowly tone down until it rises again. Oh well stressless good old days.

Add me !!!

As for food, I am from Malaysia, we have a variety of food revolving around us every damn meal. For breaks, every Malaysians who go out and eat in a group will have a difficulty in choosing what to eat. It might not be a problem for others but in Malaysia CONFIRM + CHOP! " Eat what" " Cincai la" "Where to go leh " " Drive first la " " Drive where!!!" " Anywhere la" These kind of thing is very common here. I am fine with everything as long as I am fed. I have learnt to eat everything. I used to reject spiciness. But now not a problem anymore except for the Sweating!!! I dont know why I just do. But still one of my favorite is Carbonara! Maybe because I am a mouse! I love cheese. HAHAHAHA

Till Next Time!!!
